A Gift for Rachel Ray

Custom Embroidery Hoop for Rachel Ray gift bag

Related Posts Widget for Blogs by LinkWithinJust wanted to show off a custom hoop I made for a special Rachel Ray gift bag! I was selected by the Artisan Group to participate along with 28 other crafters and since I'm fan of the Rachel Ray show, I couldn't wait to make a custom hoop for Rachel! (It's my guilty pleasure but I totally love day time tv, well mostly Live! with Kelly & RR and of course you can't forget about Price is Right - yes, I am a 80 year old stuck in a 31 year olds body!) I made the hoop in the same style as others in my shop but personalized it - those of you that watch the show will get it!

I also hand stitched a cute little felt envelope pouch for the hoop to go in - it turned out so cute that I'm going to post up a tutorial on how to make one in just a day or two so be on the look out for that! It makes a perfect reusable gift bag, envelope for love letters, a little sack for make up, or a place to organize random things like small toys, etc.!

Anyhow, let me know what you think! Have you ever gifted a celebrity or had one visit your etsy shop?

Related Posts Widget for Blogs by LinkWithinHey friends! It's been a while! I've had a lot going on lately so the blog hasn't had its proper upkeeping! I've been doing some planning and working on new goods for the shop and trying to figure out how to give the blog at little more direction (I'm tired of posting you guys only stuff about my etsy shop!) so you'll be seeing some new things soon and a new look to the blog! I've also been working on random promotional things for my upcoming book.  So busy, busy! So here's some random notes on what I've been up to lately! Don't forget to leave a comment telling me what you've been up too! I'd love to hear about it!

*making a lot of vegetarian meals - all this meat grossness has got me weirded out! pink slime, what? bugs in starbucks drinks, gross?
*running on the treadmill ( I should say running for a few moments and then walking fast, repeat) while playing angry birds, computing on the treadmill is the best!
*totally enjoying this extra long spring we're getting - I live for dresses and riding with the windows down
*working with Stitch Craft Create to preview Happy Stitch - check it out and tell me what you think!
*doing some major cleaning and organizing around the house!
*getting excited about summer vacation and probably buying one to many new dresses!
*plotting what to bake for easter - I think it's time to make more cake pops! Are you making anything special?

QYDJ on Etsy

Hope you enjoy these random studio shots - they were part of my interview for the Quit Your Day Job series over on Etsy - check it out if you get a chance! Hopefully there are some useful tips there for new sellers - since this month is National Craft Month the focus in the seller handbook section on Etsy will be helping people get their Etsy shops found and other useful things like that! I'll follow up this post with my full story about quitting my day job pretty soon! In other news, you'll start to see some changes soon here on the blog! Stay tuned for that!
